Nightlife

Club Scene: tavern/pub, labs downstairs, rooms upstairs
Theme: Steampunk
Clientele: Sons of Ether, VAs sometimes, cosplayers, scientific, nostalgic

Club Scene: raver chic
Clientele: party animals, forward thinkers, high society mixed with low brow druggies

A visitor quickly realizes that another kind of green is also in play here . . . as in greenbacks. It's an upscale place where if you want to reserve a table (it seats six), you have to promise to jointly spend $1,000. You can still make reservations as an individual, but it's risky if you show up without advance notice. There's no cover charge, but you have to look chic or "bring a lot of ladies," says Mullineaux.

The Landmark Theater
Scene: high life socializing mixing with the unwashed masses
Clientele: everyone, rock to classical

The Landmark is known for rock concerts, classical music, traditional plays, contemporary dances, ballet, and a thousand other ideas of somethings new and old for theater. Never boring, the performances change every month.

Shops

Shelly's Antiquities
Shop Type: Bookstore
Clientele: rare book dealers, professors, specialized customers and collectors
Traditions: all traditions can find something within Shelly's

Hidden treasures fill the shelves, seemingly finding a place here on their own, in Shelly's Antiquities. Though the proprietress once traveled the world, she does not any longer. Yet new tomes seem to find their ways onto her shelves. There has always been a Shelly.

Heritage Market
Shop Type: farmer's market, garden market, flower market

The Heritage Market has been a hotspot for locals for ages. The entire length of markets changes daily, filled with flowers to fish, corn to meat and taters.
