PostSubject: The Great White Tower   Fri Apr 12, 2013 9:05 am

In ages to come, shall horizon be filled with limitless worlds fashioned by the hands of magi. Golden bridges of power shall span from the world crafted by gods to these crafted by man. For now, there is just one. And perhaps the name is a silly, simple thing, it fulfills the needs I have rightly.

The Great White Tower. I often was told wizards, mages, and sorcerers required grand foci, libraries, and pointed towers to study within. So this ediface rose from the spar of a world Ferris and I sent adrift to the edge of horizon. But after so many years, upkeep and no other around makes for a rather dull existence. Someday perhaps my apprentice will return, bringing with her a mate, children, and students of her own. And we can begin a world here. Quiet, free of stresses, and unlimited to simply enjoy a life. Some will think us dead and gone to heaven. Fine by me.

But of course, this tower can be a lonely place, and not entirely something I enjoy day to day. So Ferris and I return often to our comfy little hut that we first built on arriving. I do so love it.

Lady Brigid
AKA Bree, Brigette, Brig, Mother of Magic

During her living days, Brigid was the rather homely daughter of a merchant. Their family worked in the business of textiles, mainly cloth. She spent most of her days and nights aiding with the wooing of customers and weaving of fabrics. Her ideas were quite keen, but nothing upon the level a solar could craft with artifacts. Often she dreamed of having a patron that would help her family grow for she knew her life was a spinsters. Too young, too ugly, not enough width to the hips, and with many other older sisters...she would never marry, just work.

But one day while shearing sheep for wool to spin, the sun chose her. Risen as a Solar, she glowed as any other. However, something was terribly wrong. No matter the teaching or situation, she could never use a charm. She tried everything she could, even tossing herself out of windows earning a broken arm, to try and craft a charm or cause one to erupt.

Many solars snubbed her, even those that tried to help her for years. After study by a group of zenith and twilight, they learned her essence was never quite completed. As if stuck or malformed. Many believed the soul shard laid within her was disgusted by her form, or simply did not mesh well with such worthless human stock. The pranks, hazing, and venom used against Brigid hurt more than anything she had ever experienced in her lifetime.

But the queen wished to be fair, and mated her with a Lunar. They became a joke of court. But Ferris stood by her, protecting her from the world. He had so much trouble communicating, but she helped him through it until he finally said her name. Sort of. He called her Bree. It was good enough for her.

In Rathess, she met another so painfully treated, if only in private. She found a young woman with a broken wing, bruised head to toe, barely able to move from where she fell in the upper streets. Brigid took the girl to Ferris who healed her with care. Her name was Lilith, and both Brigid and Ferris understood these wounds. But neither could help the girl with their lowly status, so they adopted her as if their own daughter, always near to speak to and find sanctuary.

As the wars rose, Ferris was called away to aid with building ships. Brigid would not be safe, remaining in Rathess. The ladies and men sunk their barbs deeply into her, and one with deep blue eyes and hair like a raven took personal interest in destroying her with words. She could never escape this man. He said he saw the future if she remained, the downfall of Rathess, the death of so many, and advised to seek the deepest forests and die by Raksha.

So she left, Ferris chasing behind. But death did not come. Instead, the most miraculous journey began, guided by the yozis and great spirits. In the end, she brought magic to the world for the first time. With such a humble beginning and the warnings of the blue eyed man, she finally understood why the Sun chose her exactly as she was.

No one else, could ever hold this magic as she, or understand it's dangers and wonders. The mother of magic, and kindest solar ever to grace Creation.

Ferris of Deneray
AKA Shoe Boy, Dumb Shit, Luckiest fucker alive, Ferry, "Russel"

Some lunars were born to fight. Some to uncover the greatest secrets of the fair folk, primordials, and Yu'Shan. And some just really enjoy building shit. Ferris never was the brightest marble in the bunch or the quickest wit, but what he does baffles many. Above all, he enjoys simple and easy pleasures. A touch autistic, he spent his youth upkeeping inns and taverns. But Luna saw something special, and chose him above the heros that filled his workplace. He turned his entire interest into building houses, small spaces in manses, things he could do alone, without others, without scrutiny.

His shoe closet is not his greatest work, but it earned him the ire of the Deliberative when he stopped working on the innards of warships to make this frivolous thing. In punishment, he was mated to the most worthless solar ever to be born. But they fell in love, finding that missing piece in each other.

When Brigid left to die in the wyld, destroyed by the barbs of her solar betters, he followed night and day to help her. Brigid's trail wound through the east, to the south, to the west, then north, and finally the blessed isle. When reunited, he had finally broken past his autistic issues, had friends aiding his journey, and embraced his wife with devotion and love.

He follows. She leads. And they are happy for it.
