Speed 5 (supports 5 attacks per round) Accuracy +2 (to attack) Dmg 12L/8B Defense +2 Rate 3 Range 10 The Monkey King was quite the adventurous fellow in his day. This Lunar took his name from the true monkey king small god of trickery, wearing a stylized crown and wielding a grand staff. The small god and Lunar are much alike, keen of mind, interested in lore and learning how things work, delving into mysteries while creating some of their own, and holding titles in martial art competitions. Few could stand against his sheer ability in such combat.
The Keen Mind - The wielder receives a +3 dice to all Lore and Investigation rolls. These dice act as any other dice in a roll.
Drunken Master - 10 motes for 1 scene - Unpredictable staggering motions slip past defenses and flow around attacks as if the master was very drunk. For the remainder of the scene, the Exalt adds her permanent Essence to his initiative total each round. Additionally, the difficulty of all attempts to attack him is increased by his permanent Essence. Damage from his attacks using the staff are also increased by his permanent Essence and made lethal. When taking multiple actions in a turn, the penalty for splitting his actions is reduced by her permanent Essence (to a Min. of zero). Lastly, his suffers no penalties for fighting while prone.
Silver Accepts Steel - 3 Motes per use - Resilient as moonsilver and always bending, the Monkey King finds ways to bend and weave from all damage done. The character accepts a blow with the surety that it will do him no lasting harm. He adds his Martial Arts score to his bashing and lethal soak against a single attack.
Thousand Shining Droplets - 3 Motes - Strike a puddle of quicksilver hard enough and it shatters into a thousand droplets. But when those droplets flow back together, the puddle is as it was before, unharmed and serene. The Monkey King learned this when making this very staff. Immediately after being struck by an attack that inflicts at least one health level of damage, the character shatters into a mass of ghostly images that circle and swirl like breeze-torn mist. He reforms at the start of his next action; until then, the character’s quicksilver Essence renders him immune to most attacks. He may only be affected by area-affecting attacks and by attacks that cannot be dodged, and even then, he adds her Essence rating in automatic successes to his dodge rolls. He may reflexively dodge attacks with these automatic successes even if he does not have an action available.
Drawback! The Monkey King demands the user become the greatest Martial Artist....ever! If the player has experience, it must be spent to learn martial arts. The player will begin training, aware of it or not, until they have x5 Martial Arts. Monkey King will also demand the wielder check into just about anything interesting around them.
